The NOTTINGHAM East Midlands MODEL RAILWAY EXHIBITION is one of the premier events of its kind in the UK and, with over 19,000 square feet, it's one of the largest too !
The event will feature outstanding examples of one of today's most popular, creative hobbies. The show is a must for the whole family, and not just for the thousands of keen model railway enthusiasts who travel to Nottingham, from far and wide, each year; nor even just for boys large and small (and their dads too, of course). There is plenty to interest every one - including mums and daughters too !
The models will depict senes from the late nineteenth century, right up to the present day; from the glorious days of steam, to the modern diesels and electrics of today; from sleepy branch lines to expresses roaring through mainline stations; from commuter trains to the mighty freight trains of North America.
As well as working model railways, in a variety of scales and gauges, there will be how-to-do-it demonstrations and clinics, all supported by the hobby's specialist manufacturers and suppliers.
