This is our 3rd. Bi-Annual EASTER OPEN DAY'S EVENT in response to popular demand, This Event gives the club the opportunity to
to show the General public and our sponsors what we have acheived,
thro their generous patronage.
Our new Exhibition Layout Dorehill St Stevens was featured in the September and October 2009 issues Railway Modeller Magazine,
Our "0" gauge layout Hazelman Road and our "009" layout Sowters Lane will be featured in March/April Issue of The Railway
Modeller Magazine, Sowters lane has recently been made into a junction layout and had its first outing at NORTHAMPTON and DISTRICT SHOW in NOVEMBER 2009 and won best layout at that show.
Both these layouts will be at ILKESTON SHOW in FEBRUARY 2010
Layouts
DOREHILL ST. STEVENS “00” gauge
42’ x 14’6” overall size with eight operators. This layout is based on B.R. 1956/60’s
Midlands /Yorkshire area.
HAZELMAN ROAD “0” gauge
This is a country terminus station
SOWTERS LANE “009” gauge
Based loosely on Welsh rural mining areas
AYLETT END “00” gauge SOUTHERN IMAGE
This is a BR southern image layout incorporating DCC
THOMAS AND FRIENDS interactive Childrens layout which we
operate voluntarily for charity at Exhibitions/shows /fete,s GCR day’s out
we are in the process of building a new Thomas and Friends layout.
