Class 156 production is underway
Further to the public unveiling on the 'first shot' class 156 railcar on Saturday at the N gauge society AGM held at Redhill, we thought you would like to see our new model as well.

Here at Dapol we no longer believe that the chassis should be seen though the clear windows of a DMU, and that corridor connections should touch at most times (or at the most have small gaps) so we have engineered the 156 unit with the more fastideous modeller in mind.

As you can see from the photographs, there is no gap between the corridor connections. This is due to finer tollerances being employed, and an ingenious 'swivelling' corridor connection on each car.

We are also trying to get smaller gaps between the coaches by having smaller corridor connections and alternate inter-coach couplings for those with larger radius curves.

Please remember that this unit is also DCC ready, DCC sound ready, has optionally (customer fitted) lighting units, directional lighting, low friction mechanism, RP25.72 darkened profile wheel sets, full internal seating, and the NEW Dapol 'super creep' 5 pole skew wound motor.
Oh, and dont forget the WORKING scharfenburg couplers to allow for multiple operation in conjunction with the dummy units released at the same time!
We believe that you will regard this unit as the 'benchmark' in British RTR DMU's for years to come.
Remember this model is on target for its release at the N gauge show at Leamington Spa in September.
