Bachmann Europe PLC have today announced that they are to produce a totally new Class 47 locomotive as part of the expanding Graham Fairsh range.
Five hundred and twelve Class 47 locomotives were built between 1962 and 1967. The first was withdrawn following accident damage in 1966 but some remain in traffic with various operators. A number have been preserved for use on heritage railways, whilst others have been rebuilt into Class 57 locomotives.
Initially four versions are being released namely D1500 in BR two tone green livery (371-825), D1764 in two tone green with full yellow ends (371-826), 47035 in BR blue (371-827) and 47404 ‘Hadrian’ in BR blue (371-828). These have a RRP of £79.95.
