First print of N gauge Gresley coaches

Back from the paint shop today has been the first example for approval of our upcoming N gauge Gresley coaches in teak livery, which will initially be available in our B17 'book set'. This set (ND-079 set1) comprises of 3 teak coaches and B17 'Doncaster Rovers' in LNER 'apple green' livery.

You will notice that due to the sucess of our 'pixel printing' technique first used on our Eddie Stobart Diesel locomotive, we have actually printed the sides to include wood grain. Some panels are slightly darker than others to reflect the natural wood. Lining still has to be added, as does the painting of the chassis.

Also worthy of note is that we have moved the bogie centres on the chassis outwards by 1mm each end. We could not move them out to 2mm as this would foul the close coupling bar and also weaken the end of the bogie, which is something we could not accept with everyday handling of this model. We hope the more fastidious modeller will understand and accept this compromise.

The Gresley Teak coaches will be on display at the Ally Pally exhibition on 29th and 30th of March, feel free to pop by the Dapol stand and take a close look.
