Diesel fans will have plenty of full size and model exhibits to enjoy over the weekend - GB Railfreight has now confirmed that Metronet blue 66722 Sir Edward Watkin will be attending along with a large number of classic ex-British Rail diesels.
Here are some of the other engines confirmed:
- Star guest 'Britannia' No. 70013 Oliver Cromwell from the National Collection
- Deltic Preservation Society's D9009 Alycidon and Trevor Dean's beautifully restored Class 40 D213 Andania
- Barrow Hill 'mascot' No. 41708 - a Midland Railway '1F' 0-6-0 that used to work in the nearby Staveley Ironworks.
