Bachmann Europe PLC revealed several surprises at its Annual Trade Open Days held on 19/20th July held at it’s Barwell Headquarters.
The Branchline OO scale Standard 3MT 2-6-2T has now reached the second sample stage and was displayed in that form. Also in OO was the first sample of the Class 47 in its post 1985 style. Upgraded versions of the ‘Peak’ Class 44 / 45 / 46 diesels and the ‘Warship’ Class 42 locomotives were displayed. These locomotives now have a 21PIN decoder socket with the Peak Class having DCC SOUND provision.
The OO scale ‘Presflo’ cement wagon was also shown in its four different forms. These models were announced earlier this year and should be available towards the end of the year.
In N scale the Graham Farish Class 24 locomotives were shown in factory finished green and two tone green liveries. The blue version was unveiled three weeks ago with models available towards the end of the year. Farish also revealed a new cut nose Class 37 and a post 1985 Class 47 locomotive. These versions had not previously been announced.
Graham Hubbard, Managing Director of Bachmann Europe Plc said today “In our 20th Anniversary year we are delighted that our business has remained buoyant despite the well known financial difficulties currently being experienced throughout the world. We have a busy programme and this weekend we have demonstrated our on-going commitment to ensuring that new items continue to come on stream before the end of the year”.
