Bachmann Europe PLC today announced that it has been appointed distributor to the UK model trade for the range of high quality lighting products supplied by OTT-LITE.

The OTT-LITE True Colour lighting systems provides low-heat and high contrast illumination that reduces eye strain and enables modellers to practise their hobby in day light conditions, irrespective of the time of day it is used. OTT-LITE is now the No.1 hobby light in the USA and since being introduced to the UK in 2004 by EQS, it has found increasing popularity with those undertaking a wide range of art, craft and hobby activities. • The portable magnifier task lamp (OTR513VR) has the same features as a standard task lamp but features a built in magnifier making it ideal for detailed modelling work. Recommended Retail Price is £79.99.

• The clip on lamp (OTR7537R) is ideal for fixing to tables, layouts or work benches utilising the strong clamp. Its flexible neck allows it to be positioned to give the best possible illumination. Recommended Retail Price is £49.99.

• The Craft Lamp (OTR313DP) is ideal for the general hobbyist. It provides a high quality natural light. Recommended Retail Price is £37.95. Each bulb is designed to last 10,000 hours.

OTT-LITE was pioneered by photobiologist Dr John Ott, who perfected time-lapse photography whilst working for Walt Disney. To do this, he required a constant source of natural light.
