V150 Jouef

On April 3, 2007, the V150, a specially configured TGV train broke the world record for conventional rail trains. To commemorate this event on it's 2 year anniversary the driver and train once again set off on an exhilarating ride, reaching a speed of 574.8 kilometers per hour (357 mph), beating for a second time the old 515.3 km/h (320.2 mph) record set in 1990.
The event was covered by 2 TV News on the France 3 news channel and shown during the afternoon and evening reports, presented by well known French TV journalist Patrick Hester.
After the run, the driver of the record beating train was presented with a Hornby Jouef model of the V150 (HJ 2058) and was heard to say "it is extraordinary!"
