Formerly The Welding Institute M.R.C. (1986 to 1999), The 31A (Cambridge) Model Railway Club was formed on 1st January 2000. The new Club was formed due to the move to new Clubrooms and to demonstrate that membership was open to anyone, not just employees of The Welding Institute.
